Starting with version
2005.5.11, you can include exported registry files when deploying any
flavor or version of VNC. This opens the door to extreme
customization for your VNC deployment profile. You are no longer
tied to canned settings and check boxes. If you would rather roll
your own, this feature was built with you in mind.
How it works
Right-click a computer inside VNCScan
and choose to deploy VNC
If you don't already have a profile set
up to deploy VNC in this manner, choose to create a new profile and
choose Ultra as the flavor.
Notice: You will still need to set a dummy VNC password even if
you plan to use MS Auth. If you don't the server may reject all
connections.
Work your way through the wizard until
you see the following screen:
Click the Browse button to locate your
.reg file or just type in the path.
Click Next and deploy as usual.
If you see any "access denied" messages, you may need to explicitly
set the user that this is to run as.
