You get the best results when the VNC viewer
that you are using with VNCScan matches the version of VNC that is
out on the network. By default, VNCScan uses the latest
UltraVNC viewer.
VNCScan doesn't
use a proprietary viewer control, but instead gives you the
stability of matching your viewer to the server at the other end.
Just about every major version of VNC viewer is
included with the VNCScan install. You will find them under
the "C:\fastpush\vnc7"
folder. If you use one that is not included, just copy it
there and follow the instructions below.
How To set the global default
Click on the Preferences toolbar button:
Click the "Support Files" tab and browse for
the viewer that you wish to use.
How To set the Group default
Right-click a group and choose Properties
Click on the Settings tab and browse for
the viewer that you wish to use with all of the computers in
that group by default.
How To set the Per-Computer default
Right-click a computer and choose
"Computer Properties"
Click on the VNC Settings tab and
enter or browse for the viewer that you wish to use with
that computer regardless of what is set at the group
or global preferences.
